The Guardian has issued corrections for two recent articles. In a report on the Commonwealth Games swimming mixed 4x100m medley relay, a swimmer was misidentified. Matthew Ward, not Katie Ward as previously stated, swam the backstroke leg for Scotland's bronze medal-winning team. Additionally, Angharad Evans, not Kara Hanlon Evans, swam the breaststroke leg. Kara Hanlon is a Scottish swimmer who competed in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
BBC broadcast error corrected
Another correction concerns the BBC's coverage of England's last-32 win over DR Congo. An earlier version of the article incorrectly stated that ITV broadcast the match. The article has been amended to confirm that the BBC, broadcasting from Salford to Atlanta, provided the live coverage.
