Next week on Coronation Street, a hospital dash, a horrific admission, and a deeply buried secret all explode. Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) is found unconscious by Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), leaving her mum and stepmum Lisa and Carla Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers and Alison King) horrified. Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) reacts to Kit Green's (Jacob Roberts) proposal with guilt. After confessing to Theo Silverton's (James Cartwright) murder, Kit ensures she remains free. But when he calls in Gary Windass (Mikey North), his intentions may not be purely altruistic.
Cassie's struggle
Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) continues to struggle with the re-emergence of Tyrone Dobbs' (Alan Halsall) dad, Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield). Terrified of the truth behind Tyrone's birth being revealed, Cassie tries to take him on. When she's outmatched, will she be forced to tell boyfriend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) the truth?

Elsewhere, Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) are hit with troubling news about their son Joseph's school fees. Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is forced to face the consequences of her actions.
Monday, July 13
Kit remains suspicious of Gary and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), and Lisa reminds him he's off the Theo case. Maria confides in Sarah that her marriage is in tatters. Sarah turns to Gary, who implores her to stay quiet. Returning home to find a romantic lunch and Kit on one knee, Sarah confesses she killed Theo. Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) approaches Cassie, who admits she's being blackmailed. Bernie pushes her to face the problem head-on. Dylan gives Betsy cooking lessons, and they vow to make their long-distance relationship work. Chesney and Gemma are rocked by Joseph's poor school report.
Wednesday, July 15 – double episode
Betsy is found unconscious and rushed to hospital for an MRI. When Dylan arrives, she suffers a seizure. Dylan shows Brody and Lauren a comfort package for Betsy, but Lisa confronts him, blaming him for Betsy's condition. Tyrone picks up on tension between Cassie and Steve and is horrified to discover what's behind it. Cassie discovers Ross spent the night with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and tries to warn her about him. Kit and Sarah explore their future after her bombshell; Kit heads to the station to find out who's in the frame for Theo's death. Chesney and Gemma learn that Linda (Jacqueline Leonard) can no longer afford Joseph's school fees.
Thursday, July 16
George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Christina find Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) selling household items Christina recently bought. Christina is silenced when Mary reminds her they were bought on her card. Despite Betsy's pleas to Lisa not to blame Dylan, Lisa confronts him in the café and heads to the police station to report a crime. Cassie, sickened by Tracy and Ross kissing, moves to scupper their relationship. Kit tells Sarah it's imperative Gary hand over his phone so he can wipe it of incriminating evidence. Bernie balks when Chesney and Gemma discuss getting a loan for school fees.
Friday, July 17
Tracy's cold-shoulder act doesn't affect Ross; he tells her he wants to cool their romance to focus on bonding with Tyrone, then threatens Cassie to stay out of his business. When Tyrone throws Cassie out, she considers telling Steve the truth about Ross. Dylan reels over recent events; Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) tells him Betsy doesn't want to see him, then he is arrested in the precinct. At the Rovers, Lauren refuses to serve Dylan or Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), and Dylan retorts that Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) is behind Betsy's injuries. Kit asks the guy who wiped Gary's phone for access to his email. DC McLaughlin tells Lisa they're about to arrest Theo's killer. Christina's habit continues. Chesney and Gemma are overjoyed when Linda calls to say she's found the money for Joseph's school.
