Kelly Osbourne has made a heartbreaking admission about her late father, Ozzy Osbourne. The 41-year-old took to her Instagram Story on Thursday to share a huge installation dedicated to the Black Sabbath rocker with her four million followers.
Panning her camera to show a vast field and large duck pond, Kelly zoomed in on tall lettering that spelt out her dad’s name. Or more specifically, his less-than PC nickname, ‘Ozzy f****** Osbourne,’ which humorously contrasted with the calm nature setting.
The TV personality dropped another photo onto her Stories — this time, a selfie with the memorial in the background. Showcasing a ring on her finger that read ‘Dad’ in gothic lettering, Kelly penned: ‘I still reach for you in ordinary moments, Dad in quiet rooms, in tired evenings, in every piece of life that should have included you.’
It’s been almost a year since Ozzy passed away in July 2025, just 17 days after his final farewell performance in his hometown of Birmingham at Villa Park. The music legend was 76 years old.
Despite being in ill health for a number of years, Ozzy’s death still came as a shock to his family and his fans. Last year, while appearing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, his son, Jack Osbourne, had a heart-to-heart with his campmate, Lisa Riley. During the chat, he admitted his dad’s passing wasn’t expected so soon.
Jack said: ‘I mean we knew he was sick for a while but it was definitely a shock, I mean we didn’t know it would be that quick.’ Jack also called his dad’s ‘Back to the Beginning’ farewell gig the ‘ultimate mic drop,’ saying Ozzy played ‘a massive big gig and was like, alright I’m done.’
Ozzy died of cardiac arrest and also suffered from coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease, according to a death certificate. The certificate, which was reportedly filed at a registry in London by Ozzy’s daughter Aimée Osbourne, reportedly lists the official cause of death as ‘(a) Out of hospital cardiac arrest (b) Acute myocardial infarction (c) Coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (Joint Causes).’
In a statement confirming his death, the Osbourne family said at the time: ‘It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.’
Kelly has experienced more heartbreak in recent months, following her split from fiancé, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson. The pair — who share a three-year-old son, Sidney — quietly ended their engagement and four-year relationship in early 2026, with news of their separation breaking in late March. The split happened just seven months after Sid proposed backstage at Ozzy’s final concert. Sources suggested the couple faced challenges within their relationship, with Kelly reportedly having a hard time processing Ozzy’s death.
Kelly and Sid go way back, having first met in 1999 at Ozzfest, the heavy metal and hard rock music festival founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 1996.
