British Transport Police have launched a major investigation into four violent incidents that have sent shockwaves through London's transport network, including a horrifying knife attack aboard a train and the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy.
Expanding Investigation
Detectives are urgently reviewing three additional violent episodes alongside Thursday's train attack, where a man was brutally stabbed on a service travelling through Surrey and west London. The incident occurred between Epsom and Raynes Park stations, leaving passengers traumatised and prompting a massive police response.
Victims Across London
The string of violence includes:
- A 14-year-old boy stabbed in Pimlico, central London
- A man assaulted in Willesden, north-west London
- Another man attacked in Shepherd's Bush, west London
All victims are currently receiving medical treatment, with the teenage boy's condition described as serious but stable.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Superintendent John Hall from British Transport Police emphasised the urgency of their investigation: "We're working tirelessly to determine whether these disturbing incidents are connected. The safety of passengers and staff remains our absolute priority."
Officers are scouring CCTV footage from multiple locations and have increased patrols across the transport network. Police have urged anyone with information, particularly those who witnessed the train attack between 4:30pm and 5pm on Thursday, to come forward immediately.
