A 44-year-old man has been charged with murder after a young mother was stabbed to death in west London on Sunday morning. The victim, 24-year-old Kirandeep Kaur, had recently given birth and was described by her family as a 'wonderful mother.'
Suspect charged and due in court
Daniel Sean James, from Pinner, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article. He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Monday morning, July 14, 2026.
Police were called to Uxbridge Road in Hayes shortly before 8 a.m. on Sunday following reports of a stabbing. Officers found Ms. Kaur with fatal injuries; she was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, a man in his 20s, was discovered bleeding outside the property and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Family tribute to 'wonderful mother'
Speaking to Metro, the victim's brother-in-law, Sahib, said: 'She had just had a baby. The family were so happy. We are heartbroken. She was a wonderful mother.' A family friend added: 'She was a mum and a very nice person, really lovely. The family are devastated.'
A large emergency response attended the scene, including a forensic tent set up on the high street. The investigation is ongoing.
