Katie Price is fearing the worst, informing followers that her husband, Lee Andrews, has been missing for three days. Taking to YouTube with an urgent plea, the 47-year-old reality star explained that she has not heard from the 43-year-old businessman, despite usually being in constant contact.
Background of the Disappearance
The disappearance comes after Lee was due to fly to the UK last week from Dubai, where he has lived for 21 years, for a joint interview on Good Morning Britain. Katie was let down at the last minute, having to appear on live television alone. Both initially denied reports that a man arrested at the airport was Lee, with Katie explaining that visa issues prevented him from travelling.
Now, Katie is panicking that her husband may have been kidnapped. Informing her followers of the situation this evening, she acknowledged that there has been constant speculation about Lee since she met him. He proposed to Katie after just two days, and they married that same week. Since January, fans have had doubts about Lee's past and career. He was reportedly imprisoned for three months over alleged fraud last year, with his ex-girlfriends accusing him of lying and scamming them, while lies on his CV have also been exposed, for which he blamed a former personal assistant.
Katie's Defense and New Concerns
Still, Katie defended him, although she did confirm that he had a travel ban implemented, telling her podcast listeners: 'You can get a travel ban for absolutely anything.' But now she believes 'something really, really serious has happened.'
Yesterday, Katie announced that Lee was taking a break from social media due to online trolling. Revealing the truth, she admitted on Saturday: 'Lee has been missing for three days. The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10 o'clock. He was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me… and this is so, so discombobulating… His location went off at 10:03 Wednesday night; that's the last contact anyone's had, his family and myself.'
'This is the third day now. Obviously, he phoned me before the location went off. He's in the middle of nowhere. So, obviously, I'm worried, like, 'What the hell's happened?', and Thursday came, still nothing. My messages weren't going through. It was just one tick.'
She went on to say that she has been communicating with his family, who also have not received anything from Lee. 'We got in contact with the police out in Dubai. I've got a head of CID out there. Me and Lee are in constant, constant contact all the time. And it's worrying that his location has gone off.'
'I've had the head of CID in Dubai trying to track Lee. So far, I got a message this morning saying that no one can find anywhere in the country where Lee has been detained. They just can't find it anywhere. We're now wondering, as far-fetched as it is… well, he's definitely a missing person now. I don't know if he's been kidnapped. I don't know what's going on. No one can find him in any prison, police station, any record of it.'
Disturbing Last Contact
Katie added that she was not going to say anything, but amid swirling reports that her spouse had been arrested once more, she decided to speak out, knowing behind the scenes that the police cannot find him anyway. The star then shared that, in the small hours today, her WhatsApp messages were delivered to Lee for a brief period, but his family's were not. 'And then the phone went off.' 'They said the police wouldn't go through his phone in Dubai, so that's weird. He should've been able to make a phone call; if he was arrested, he hasn't phoned any of us.'
Katie plans to file a missing persons report tomorrow, with the most unsettling thing being that her last contact with Lee was a FaceTime call in which he was wearing a hood, had ties around his hands, and told her he had been captured inside an old, dirty van. 'He said, 'Look, they're coming back for me, they're coming back for me.' That is the last call I had with him, and then his phone went dead.'
'This is a really worrying time for me. I just don't know what to do.' Katie is now figuring out whether she needs to jet back to the UAE to help the authorities, concluding her vlog by thanking fans for their supportive messages. 'Everyone has their thoughts on everything, but, at the end of the day, I am married to Lee; he's my husband, and I am experiencing these feelings. I'm just really, really, really worried.'
