A commuter who survived a brutal knife attack at Huntingdon railway station has revealed to Sky News how he had no alternative but to fight for his life against his assailant during the terrifying rush-hour ordeal.
The victim, who has chosen to remain anonymous, described the moment a stranger approached him on the platform and launched a vicious, unprovoked assault that left him with multiple stab wounds.
"When someone comes at you with a knife and you're backed into a corner, you don't have much choice," the victim stated. "It was fight or face potentially fatal consequences. Your survival instincts take over completely."
Rush Hour Terror
The attack occurred during the busy evening commute, sending shockwaves through the station filled with travellers returning home from work. Eyewitnesses reported scenes of panic as the violent confrontation unfolded on the platform.
British Transport Police have confirmed they are treating the incident as attempted murder and have launched a full investigation. A suspect was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
