The gathering was taking place at a property in the unincorporated community of Lake Point, Tooele County. According to the Tooele County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 6:30 pm local time. Upon arrival, they discovered a scene of chaos with one individual deceased from gunshot wounds.
Two other victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased or the wounded, pending notification of their families.

The rally was promoted by the 'No Kings' organisation, founded by prominent right-wing activist Ammon Bundy. Bundy, who is currently a fugitive from Idaho law enforcement on misdemeanour charges, was reportedly present at the event. In a statement, the Tooele County Sheriff's Office confirmed the tragic outcome and the ongoing investigation.
