Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has shared the heartbreaking news that her father has recently passed away.
The actress, best known for playing Sarah Platt on the ITV soap since 1999, broke her silence about the personal tragedy through her Instagram Stories.
Heartfelt Social Media Announcement
In a moving statement, O'Brien wrote: 'I've been a little quiet on here. My dad died recently. I haven't quite known how to put it into words.'
She continued with emotional honesty, stating: 'My heart is very heavy but I'm grateful he is no longer suffering.'
The television personality expressed deep appreciation for her support network, adding: 'Thank you to everyone who's held me steady through this difficult time. I love you. You mean the world to me.'
She concluded her tribute with a series of symbolic emojis: a rainbow, star, heart and praying hands.
