Former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh shared some wonderful festive news with her fans, announcing the arrival of her fourth grandchild on Christmas Day.

A Perfect Christmas Gift

The 49-year-old star, best known for playing Michelle Connor on the ITV soap, took to Instagram to reveal that her daughter Emilie had given birth to a baby boy. Kym posted a carousel of pictures of the newborn alongside his siblings, expressing her immense joy in a heartfelt caption.

"Well what a wonderful Christmas gift this is!!" she wrote. Revealing the baby's unique name, she continued: "Welcome to the world Bobby Saint Mykola Hoszowskyj!!! He’s so beautiful!"

Kym was full of praise for her daughter and son-in-law, Mikey, adding: "So so proud of my girl Emilie she is a warrior!! And of my son in law Mikey for being her rock today! We are all in love!! Merry Christmas everyone."

Details of the Speedy Arrival

In response to congratulatory comments from followers, including former Hear'Say bandmate Danny Foster, Kym provided more details about the dramatic birth. She explained that baby Bobby weighed 7lb 6oz and that Emilie had a remarkably quick labour.

"She had a very quick birth," Kym wrote. "Got in the hospital at 10.25 and he was here at 10.35 hahah."

This new addition makes Kym a grandmother, or 'Yaya', for the fourth time. She is already grandmother to Emilie's son Teddy and step-daughter Polly, as well as to her son David's child, Clay.

Life After the Cobbles

Since leaving Coronation Street in 2019, Kym Marsh has kept busy with a variety of acting roles. She joined the cast of BBC school drama Waterloo Road as Nicky Walters and recently appeared in the Channel 5 thriller The Imposter, which filmed in Melbourne, Australia.

She has also enjoyed a successful stage career, starring in productions like Fatal Attraction and 101 Dalmatians. In the New Year, she is set to tour the UK in a stage adaptation of Single White Female alongside Lisa Faulkner.

Daughter Emilie is no stranger to the spotlight either, having previously starred alongside her mother in the UK tour of Greatest Days: The Musical, where she played a younger version of Kym's character in the Take That-inspired show.
