Emmerdale spoilers follow for Tuesday's (April 28) episode, now available on ITVX and airing on ITV1 at 7:30pm. Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is about to face the consequences of his deceit after lying to Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) about his dark secrets. The ruthless entrepreneur has spent the past year backstabbing and betraying, leaving families in chaos. His defense: all is fair in business. But Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) sees it differently after learning from Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) about Joe's role in her imprisonment.
Moira's Nightmare
Moira lost her home, farm, and freedom after Joe, determined to secure Butlers, had Robert plant IDs and passports from Celia Daniels' modern slavery operation on her property. The police arrested Moira, facing decades in prison for modern slavery and murder after bodies were found on her land. Joe showed no guilt, but Robert worked to secure Moira's freedom. Unable to stay silent, Robert told Moira everything, prompting her to storm to Home Farm with a shotgun.
Confrontation at Home Farm
Moira was furious, having missed Cain's (Jeff Hordley) cancer diagnosis while imprisoned. Joe cowered, urging Moira not to pull the trigger. Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) and Dawn also begged her to reconsider. Dawn revealed she is pregnant with Joe's baby, shocking Joe, who has always wanted a child. Moira relented, but Joe lied to Dawn about the confrontation. Dawn's suspicions grew.
Dawn has been shocked before by Joe's ruthless tactics, including blackmailing Robert and killing John (Oliver Farnworth). She agreed to give him one more chance, provided he had no more secrets. Joe claimed he didn't, but Moira is set to reveal the truth. Will Dawn realize Joe, who previously stole a kidney from Caleb Miligan (William Ash), is not the father she wants for her unborn child?
Dawn's Possible Exit
With reports that Olivia Bromley is leaving Emmerdale after eight years, Dawn might flee the village with her baby to protect them from Joe's villainy. Moira vowed revenge, and telling Dawn could set in motion Joe losing the perfect family life he always wanted. Is Joe finally set to pay for his actions?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 or streams from 7am on ITVX and YouTube.
