Children's home proposal in Wallington
The most significant application is for 6 Kingswood Way, Wallington SM6 8PB. The proposal seeks to change the use of the house from residential (Class C3) to a children's home (Class C2). Works include the demolition of the front boundary wall and the extension of the vehicle crossover. The reference number is DM2026/00773.
This application is part of a broader set of planning requests submitted to Sutton Council, which also includes tree maintenance and residential extensions.
Loft conversions and extensions in Cheam, Carshalton and Sutton
Several loft conversion applications have been submitted. At 41 Quarry Park Road, Cheam SM1 2DS, plans include a loft conversion with alterations to the roofline, a rear dormer extension, a new window to the flank roofslope, and rooflights to the front roofslope (Ref. No: DM2026/00957).
Similarly, at 550 Middleton Road, Carshalton SM5 1JA, a loft conversion with alterations to the roofline, rear dormer extension, and rooflights to the front roofslope has been proposed (Ref. No: DM2026/00952).
At 71 Angel Hill, Sutton SM1 3EH, plans include a part one, part two storey front and rear extension, garage conversion to a habitable room, and a loft conversion with rear dormer and front rooflights (Ref. No: DM2026/00893).
Tree works and other applications
Tree work applications include 4 Palace Court, 26 The Broadway, Cheam SM3 8AZ, where a sycamore tree (T005) is proposed for re-pollarding by 3-4 metres (Ref. No: TREE2026/00120). At 19 - 35 Cotswold Way, Worcester Park KT4 8HA, crown reductions are proposed for three Turkish Hazels (approx 2m), a London Plane (3m), and a Lime tree (approx 2-3m) (Ref. No: TREE2026/00109).
At 19 Ashcombe Road, Carshalton SM5 3ET, a reduction of lateral branches of one ash tree (T1) by 2 metres is proposed (Ref. No: TREE2026/00105).
Other applications include an outbuilding at 3 Glenthorne Close, Sutton SM3 9NN (Ref. No: DM2026/00950), garage conversion at 66 Washington Road, Worcester Park KT4 8JH (Ref. No: DM2026/00942), and a single storey rear extension at 45 Carleton Avenue, Wallington SM6 9LW (Ref. No: DM2026/00882).
At 15A Whittaker Road, Sutton SM3 9QG, an outbuilding is proposed for use as a granny annexe incidental to the main dwelling (Ref. No: DM2026/00852). At 12 Wilbury Avenue, Cheam SM2 7DU, listed building consent is sought to repair and restore the Grade II listed front boundary wall, extend vehicular access openings, and provide two double front boundary gates (Ref. No: DM2026/00633).
