Victoria Station stabbing: Man rushed to major trauma centre

A man has been taken to a major trauma centre as a priority following a stabbing near Victoria Station in Central London in the early hours of October 6. Emergency services were called to Vauxhall Bridge Road shortly after 3.10am after reports of the attack.

The Metropolitan Police have yet to confirm the man's condition or his age. Paramedics and a trauma team from London's Air Ambulance treated him at the scene before he was transported to a major trauma centre.

Road Closure and Cordon in Place

One lane of Vauxhall Bridge Road remains shut to traffic at the exit for Victoria Street and the station. A cordon has been set up outside HSBC on the corner of the adjacent Wilton Road, according to pictures from the scene.

Traffic in the area appears to be coping well, according to live road tracker Inrix. The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for more information.

Ongoing Investigation

The incident occurred at a busy junction near Victoria Station, a major transport hub in London. The closure of the lane could affect morning commuters in the area.

Police and emergency services remain at the scene as investigations continue. The man's condition has not yet been officially confirmed by authorities.
