A third man has been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Suhayb Abdulkadir, who was fatally stabbed in Leyton, east London, on Thursday, April 23. The incident occurred on Saint George's Road following an altercation between a group of people.
Arrests and charges
Faruq Ismail, 25, was arrested on Monday, May 11, and has since been charged with murder. He joins Abdullahi Abdi and Hanet Ahmed, who were both charged with murder on April 26. Two other men arrested in connection with the case have been released under investigation.
Family tribute
In a tribute, Suhayb’s family said: “Suhayb lit up every room he entered and put a smile on the faces of even those who did not know him. He was an amazing uncle to his niece, honourable brother to his siblings and dutiful son to his mother. Although his death has been devastating, it has been heart-warming to hear the many stories from people from all walks of life sharing the massive impact he has had on them.”
