Good morning from Prague. Over 2,000 state officials, foreign policy and security experts from Europe and beyond are meeting in the Czech capital for the GLOBSEC Forum 2026. The agenda is packed with pressing issues.
Key Topics at the Forum
Discussions will cover the latest drone incidents in the Baltics, the broader security situation in Ukraine and Europe, and global questions on energy, geopolitics, artificial intelligence, and the state of the transatlantic alliance. The forum aims to address the shifting global order and Europe's role within it.
Prominent Speakers
Attendees will hear from Czech President Petr Pavel, European Commission Vice-President Henna Virkunen, and former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. Their remarks come as NATO foreign ministers gather in Sweden for a ministerial meeting today and tomorrow.
Last night, President Pavel warned that Russia will remain Europe's main security threat for decades. He emphasized that Europe must wake up from its overreliance on US protection and radically bolster its own defense as a new global order of competing superpowers takes shape.
Other News
In addition to forum coverage, updates will be provided on Ukraine, the drone incidents in the Baltics, and other relevant news from across the continent.
