Trump Denies Iran Deal Reports, Calls Them 'Fake News'

President Donald Trump has lashed out at Iran over reports in state media about a potential deal with the United States, dismissing them as “fake news” and insisting that the terms described were not what Washington had agreed to.

Trump Denies Draft Proposal Details

Several Iranian media outlets had reported what they described as details of a draft proposal being reviewed by Iran’s leadership. According to those reports, some of the terms included Iran’s control of the Strait of Hormuz and postponed discussions on its nuclear programme.

Trump responded on Truth Social, saying: “The terms that Iran leaked out to the Fake News have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing. What they said, including their weak and pathetic statement on having a deal, bears no relation to the truth. Very dishonourable people to deal with. With them, there is no such thing as dealing in good faith. AMAZING! Also, their totally rebuffed Drone attack last night against Indian Ships leaving the Hormuz Strait is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. They better get their act together, and FAST!”

The president’s comments came after reports of an Iranian drone attack on Indian ships near the Strait of Hormuz, which he described as unacceptable. The White House has not provided further details on the alleged attack.

US President Donald Trump speaks in the Oval Office at the White House on Thursday, as tensions with Iran continue to escalate. The administration has maintained a policy of maximum pressure on Tehran, and Trump’s latest remarks suggest no softening of that stance.
