Urgent Police Search for Four Suspects Following Bristol Sexual Assault
Avon and Somerset Police have launched an urgent investigation and public appeal to locate four men following a serious sexual assault in Bristol city centre. The incident occurred in the Assembly Rooms Lane area during the early hours of last Sunday, shortly after 3am, when a woman was reportedly raped by multiple attackers.
Victim Description and Police Response
The victim, whose welfare authorities describe as "paramount," has provided investigators with crucial details about her suspected attackers. She reported that the four men are of Asian appearance and estimated to be aged between 20 and 30 years old. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Almond emphasized the seriousness of the investigation, stating: "We will ensure she has the support she needs, not only now, but in the days and weeks ahead. Rape offences where the suspect is unknown to the victim are not common and we wish to reassure everyone this is being treated with the utmost seriousness."
