Metropolitan Police officers were called to reports of a stabbing at Hesterman Way in Croydon at approximately 1:15 AM on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service discovered three men with stab wounds at the Valley Retail Park location.

The 22-year-old victim was transported to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries. Police have confirmed that specialist officers are providing support to the victim's next of kin during this devastating time.

Additional Arrests and Injuries

Two other men, both aged 21, were also taken to hospital with stab wounds. Both individuals have since been arrested on suspicion of affray. One of these men remains hospitalized with injuries described as potentially life-threatening, while the other has been released into police custody.

In addition to the murder suspects, police have arrested two women aged 25 and a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder. All three remain in police custody as investigations continue. Two further women, aged 21 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of affray. The 21-year-old woman has been released on bail pending further inquiries, while the 22-year-old woman remains in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Gammampila, who is leading the Metropolitan Police investigation, has appealed to the public for information regarding the incident. He stated: "Our thoughts remain with the victim's family at this hugely difficult time. We cannot begin to imagine what they are going through."

DCI Gammampila added: "We understand that this incident will be distressing to the local community. My officers continue to work at pace to unpick the events that unfolded and to apprehend those responsible."
