Peckham Nightclub Stabbing Leaves One Dead, Two Fighting for Life

A 26-year-old man has been stabbed to death in a violent incident outside a nightclub in Peckham, with two other young men left fighting for their lives in hospital. The attack, described by police as a "deeply tragic" disturbance, occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, April 6, on Ruby Street.

Police were called to the scene just before 4am following reports of a serious assault. The victim was pronounced dead at the location, with his next-of-kin notified. Two additional victims, both in their 20s, were discovered injured at the scene and were rushed to hospital, where they remain in critical condition on life-support systems. Four Men Arrested in Murder Investigation

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John stated, "This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this difficult time. We have already arrested four men and our investigation continues at pace." He emphasized the police's commitment to resolving the case and providing support to the affected community.

DCI John added, "We are aware of the concern that this will cause the local community and those in the area will notice an increased police presence throughout the day. This assault occurred outside a busy nightclub, and we’d encourage anyone who has any information, dashcam or mobile phone footage which could support the investigation to contact us."
