Police have launched a manhunt after a father and his three-year-old son were assaulted in an unprovoked antisemitic attack in a North London park. The incident occurred at around 5.30pm on Saturday, July 4, in Markfield Park, Tottenham.
Details of the Attack
The suspect, described as a mixed-race man of medium height and muscular build, with short hair, stubble, and a tattoo on his left bicep, made threatening remarks towards the victims and the wider Jewish community. He was wearing a white cap and riding a red-orange e-bike at the time of the assault. Neither the man nor his child required medical attention.
Police Response and Investigation
The incident was reported by a member of the public, and response officers arrived within ten minutes. Detectives are following multiple lines of enquiry. Detective Constable Benny Palmer, leading the investigation, said: "This was a shocking, unprovoked attack and we know it will cause concern to the local community. We're doing all we can to identify the offender and are asking the public to get in touch with us if they have any relevant information - particularly any footage that was filmed at the park during the early evening of Saturday, 4 July or those with doorbells or dashcams near to Crawford Road, Seven Sisters."

Palmer added: "Across the Met, we are continuing our work to provide visible, intelligence-led and co-ordinated patrols to protect our Jewish communities and keep people safe."
