The family of a 16-year-old girl who tragically died after a stabbing in Leeds has paid a moving tribute to her, as West Yorkshire Police confirmed a fifth arrest in the murder investigation. Chloe Watson Dransfield, from Gomersal, West Yorkshire, was found unconscious with stab wounds on Kennerleigh Avenue in the Austhorpe area of Leeds at 5.55am on Saturday. She was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

In a heartfelt statement, her family expressed their profound grief, saying, "My beautiful princess Chloe. I cannot put into words how I feel that you are not here with me. You are my life, my world, my best friend and I know that I am yours. I cannot live without you - I need you." They described Chloe as stunning, confident, loyal, honest, and family-oriented, noting that her bubbly personality lit up any room. The family added, "Your two sisters and big brother will always love and miss you to infinity. You will always and forever be in our hearts. Love Mum, Connor, Courtney and Cienna."

Police Investigation and Arrests

West Yorkshire Police have arrested five individuals in connection with the murder. Initially, four people were taken into custody: two women aged 18, a man aged 19, and a 17-year-old boy, all arrested at a nearby address. On Monday, a fifth person, another 17-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of murder. All five remain in police custody as the investigation continues.

Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle, leading the investigation, stated, "Our thoughts remain with Chloe's family at this incredibly difficult time. Our specially-trained officers continue to provide them with support. Our investigation into her death is ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone with any relevant information to contact us."

Community Response and Tributes

Flowers and messages have been left at the scene in memory of Chloe. One tribute read, "for my beautiful girl" and "rest easy my Chloe. Love you forever my crazy girl."
