The Metropolitan Police have confirmed the arrest of four men on suspicion of murder following a violent stabbing incident outside a nightclub in Peckham, south-east London. The tragic event resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man and left two other individuals in life-threatening condition.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, officers were dispatched to Ruby Street in Peckham at 3.54am on Monday after receiving calls about a disturbance involving a group of people outside a local nightclub. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a 26-year-old man with severe stab wounds. Despite immediate medical intervention by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
In addition to the fatality, two other men in their 20s were found injured at the location. Both were transported to nearby hospitals, where they remain in critical condition, fighting for their lives.
Arrests and Investigation
Later on Monday, police arrested four suspects in connection with the murder. The individuals include one 18-year-old and three 24-year-olds, all of whom are currently in custody as the investigation progresses.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, who is leading the Metropolitan Police's inquiry, expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
