Family's Desperate Search Amid Freezing Conditions
A family from Hackney has made a desperate public appeal to find their missing loved one as night-time temperatures plummet to freezing levels across London.
Jason Scarfe, aged 56, was last seen leaving his home in the Hackney area on Wednesday, November 5. His family and police have expressed growing concern for his welfare, particularly due to the recent cold weather.
Police Release CCTV in Public Appeal
Officers from the Central East Command Unit have released CCTV images to help the public identify Jason. The footage shows him in a Co-op store on Theydon Road, Hackney, on Wednesday, October 22, before he was reported missing.
Police have shared this earlier footage to give people a clearer idea of his appearance. Jason is described as 6ft tall with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing black Sketchers trainers, black bottoms, and a black hoodie.

Sergeant Kevin Hook, from the Central East Command Unit, stated: "We are increasingly concerned for Jason's welfare, particularly now the weather has turned and temperatures drop to freezing at night. We are appealing to the public to let us know if they have seen him."
He added: "Jason’s family are desperate to find him and concerned for his health. They are appealing for him to make contact – either with them or the police – to ensure he is safe and well."
