A 65-year-old Thai grandmother experienced what can only be described as a real-life miracle when she woke up inside her coffin just hours before she was due to be cremated.
The Terrifying Discovery
Chonthirot, a bedridden grandmother from Phitsanulok in northern Thailand, was found apparently lifeless at her home at 2am on Sunday morning. Her family, believing she had passed away, arranged a funeral service at a local temple the following day.
The grandmother was placed in a white coffin and transported by truck on a four-hour journey to the temple, which provides free cremation and funeral services for families experiencing financial hardship.

As temple worker Thammanoon prepared to remove the coffin from the truck ahead of the scheduled funeral, he heard something that would change everything. Knocking sounds and a faint voice emerged from inside the coffin, causing immediate alarm.
"I peeled back the cloth covering her and froze when I saw she was still moving," Thammanoon told local media. "She was conscious, breathing weakly, and nodding her head, but she was unable to speak. I was stunned because I'd never experienced anything like this before."
Family's Emotional Rollercoaster
The grandmother's younger brother, 57-year-old Mongkol, expressed the family's overwhelming emotions upon learning his sister was still alive. "I was shocked, surprised, and happy that my sister was still alive," he said. "I nearly collapsed from surprise. It's a miracle that she woke up."
Mongkol revealed that his sister had been bedridden due to illness for two years prior to this extraordinary incident, making her apparent recovery even more remarkable.
Following the shocking discovery, an ambulance was immediately called, and Chonthirot was transported to hospital for medical assessment. The temple generously agreed to cover all her medical expenses, ensuring she receives proper care following her traumatic experience.
