Emmerdale's Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is facing a critical juncture as his prostate cancer operation approaches. Despite being one of the soap's strongest couples, Cain and Moira (Natalie J Robb) have weathered many storms, including infidelity. However, Cain's fear of life after surgery is now threatening their relationship.
Cain's Operation Postponed
The operation was initially postponed after a tired Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) accidentally knocked him down with a car, leaving Cain too injured for surgery. This delay not only increased his health risks but also gave him more time to dwell on his fears.
Marital Strain
Moira's return from prison was expected to reassure Cain, but instead, it has intensified his anxiety. He is convinced that without sex, Moira will leave him. In a moment of vulnerability, Cain confessed to his best pal Liam (Jonny McPherson) that he is considering cancelling the operation altogether.
Moira also confided in Chas (Lucy Pargeter) that their once solid relationship is now rocky. Saying the words out loud made everything feel more real.
