EastEnders spoilers: Kat comforted by Oscar after Zoe's death

EastEnders has revealed new spoilers for Tuesday's episode (September 15) as the Square deals with the aftermath of Zoe Slater's tragic death. Kat Slater, played by Jessie Wallace, will be comforted by Oscar Branning after she struggles to cope with the loss of her daughter.

Kat's grief intensifies as she seeks solace

The devastation continues at the Queen Vic as the Slater family attempts to make sense of Zoe's death. Consumed with grief, Kat isolates herself from the rest of the family, unable to face them in her moment of profound loss.

Later, she exits the pub and heads to Container Junction, where she is comforted by Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier). Oscar talks about his mother Tanya's experience following the death of Abi, drawing a parallel between their shared grief.

Afterwards, Kat returns to the Vic but discovers that everyone has held a vigil for Zoe in her bedroom. Overwhelmed by the gesture, she orders them all out, struggling to process the reality of her daughter's passing.

Max Branning feels the weight of guilt

Word of Zoe's death filters through Walford, and it impacts the person who last saw her alive the most: Max Branning (Jake Wood). The news hits him hard, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing wedding shenanigans from last week that continue to affect everyone involved.

The episode also sees Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) worried about her unborn baby as she begins to experience labour pains. She is reassured by doctors that everything is fine, providing a glimmer of hope amid the tragedy.

Emotional aftermath and upcoming scenes

Monday's episode saw Kat find Zoe dead in her bed after Zoe sustained a head injury the previous day. The pain took hold while she lay alone, crying out for her mother. Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) shared the tragic news with the rest of the family after making the discovery himself.

Kat was utterly broken as police came to take Zoe's body away, breaking down in the Square as Alfie consoled her. The upcoming scenes promise to be highly emotional, dealing with the aftermath of Zoe's death and its ripple effects across Walford.

EastEnders airs these scenes Tuesday September 15 at 7:30pm on BBC One or streams from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
