Reality television stars Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing have announced the birth of their first child, a baby boy they have named Ziggy. The couple, aged 31 and 37 respectively, shared their happy news on social media on December 4, 2025, posting intimate family photos.
A Joyful Social Media Announcement
The new parents posted a tender image of themselves cradling their newborn son. The photograph was accompanied by a heartfelt caption that read, ‘Ziggy, you have our whole hearts.’ They also shared polaroid-style pictures from the delivery room, showing an elated Sophie on the birthing bed with a protective Jamie embracing her and their firstborn.
The couple first announced they were expecting in June 2025. They revealed their pregnancy on Instagram with a video of a scan. In the clip, an emotional Jamie could be heard saying, ‘Are you kidding me?’ while Sophie was seen staring at the screen in awe, listening to their baby's heartbeat.
An Honest Pregnancy Journey
Throughout her pregnancy, Sophie was notably candid about the physical challenges she faced. On their joint podcast, NearlyParents, she openly discussed difficult symptoms, describing her teeth as ‘frail and rotting’ and dealing with fainting spells.
She also spoke about significant bodily changes, joking that she had ‘massive hooves’ instead of her usual ‘petite feet’ due to swelling. Following medical advice, she focused on listening to her body and resting when needed.
From Made in Chelsea to Marriage and Parenthood
Both Sophie and Jamie rose to fame on the E4 series Made in Chelsea. Jamie joined the cast in 2011, with Sophie following in 2017. After being friends for three years, they began dating in 2019.
Their relationship, which played out on screen, endured ups and downs, including a cheating scandal. They ultimately reconciled and announced their engagement on December 18, 2021. Jamie shared a video of Sophie wearing a cap that read ‘Mrs Laing-to-be,’ declaring he couldn't think of anything better than spending his life with her.
The couple married and launched a podcast called NearlyWeds, which evolved into NewlyWeds and then NearlyParents as they prepared for their baby's arrival. On the show, they have hosted other pregnant celebrities, like Katherine Ryan, to share experiences.
The pair have recently moved into a new London home, reported to be worth around £12 million, where they will begin their life as a family of three.
