Tragic Incident at Family Golf Centre
A community in south-east London is in mourning after a five-year-old boy died following a tragic accident at a popular family entertainment venue.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening at Sidcup Family Golf on the Sidcup By-Pass in Chislehurst.
Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, rushed to the scene after receiving reports that a child had been seriously injured by a collapsing wall.
Emergency Response and Hospital Battle
The young boy was treated at the scene by medics before being transported to hospital via the London Air Ambulance.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, the child remained in a life-threatening condition and tragically passed away in hospital on Tuesday.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that specialist officers are now supporting the boy's family through this devastating time.
A six-year-old girl was also injured during the incident but has since been discharged from hospital after receiving medical treatment.
Ongoing Investigation and Centre Closure
Authorities have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the wall collapse.
The Met Police confirmed that enquiries are ongoing and officers are working alongside the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to determine the cause of the tragedy.
In response to the incident, Sidcup Family Golf Centre has been closed indefinitely.
