An 18-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in a North London park on Thursday evening, prompting a response from the air ambulance. Police were alerted to the knife attack in Victoria Park, North Finchley, at 7:10 p.m. on July 23.
Officers found the victim with multiple stab wounds. An air ambulance landed in the park, and paramedics transported the teenager to a hospital emergency department. His condition has been assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
Arrest Made in Connection with Stabbing
On Friday, July 24, police arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. The suspect was taken to hospital due to injuries believed to be unrelated to the stabbing incident.
A Met Police spokesperson stated: "Officers investigating a stabbing in Victoria Park have made an arrest. On Thursday, July 23 at 7:10 p.m. police were called to reports of a stabbing at Victoria Park, North Finchley. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated an 18-year-old man for multiple stab wounds before taking him to hospital. His condition has since been assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing."

The police acknowledged the concern this incident has caused within the local community. Residents can expect to see increased patrols for reassurance and to deter further offending. The investigation continues, and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 7022/23July.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called at 7:11 p.m. yesterday (July 23) to reports of a stabbing in Ballards Lane, Finchley. We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road as a priority."
