A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after being stabbed on a residential street in Dagenham, East London, on the morning of Thursday, September 10. Police were called to Rusper Road, near Becontree Tube station, at approximately 10:42am following reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim with injuries to his arm. Paramedics transported him to hospital, where medical staff assessed his wounds as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Police search nearby property and recover suspected firearms
As part of their investigation, police officers attended an address on Clementhorpe Road, also in Dagenham. A search of the property led to the recovery of a number of suspected firearms.
The connection between the stabbing and the seized firearms has not yet been clarified. However, eight men and two women, all aged between 30 and 60, were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences. They remain in police custody.

The Metropolitan Police issued a full statement regarding the events. It read: "At around 10:42hrs on Thursday, 10 September, officers responded to reports of a stabbing on Rusper Road, Dagenham."
The statement continued: "Officers attended the scene and found a man in his 20s with injuries to his arm. He was taken to hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing."
Arrests made and enquiries ongoing
Regarding the firearms discovery, the police statement added: "As part of enquiries, officers attended an address on Clementhorpe Road, Dagenham. During a search of the property, a number of suspected firearms were recovered."
It further noted: "Eight men and two women, aged between 30 and 60, were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remain in police custody."
Police have confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing. No further details have been released at this time.
