A man in his 20s is in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a stabbing in Colindale, North London, on the night of July 1. The incident occurred on Booth Road at approximately 11.05pm, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Details of the Incident

Emergency services, including a trauma team from London's Air Ambulance, attended the scene. The victim was treated on-site before being rushed to a major trauma centre. As of July 2, no arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.

The Met Police stated: "We recognise the concern that this incident will cause the local community and have increased police patrols in the area." A cordon remained in place on Booth Road overnight as forensic teams worked to establish what happened.

Witness Appeal

Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.09pm yesterday (1 July) to reports of a stabbing in Booth Road, NW9. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority."
