Nine people have been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Goodmayes overnight (May 16). Emergency services responded to urgent 999 calls from the junction of Goodmayes Road and Barley Lane, near Goodmayes station, at around 12:35 am.
Emergency Response
Paramedics treated ten people at the scene before rushing nine to hospital for further treatment, the London Ambulance Service confirmed. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed by the Metropolitan Police.
Road Closures and Diversions
The High Road remains closed in both directions this morning as police secure the area. A cordon is in place between Goodmayes Road and Eccleston Crescent. Transport for London has confirmed that bus route 86 is on diversion.
It is unclear how many vehicles were involved in the collision at this stage. Police have been contacted for more details.
