A police officer has been dismissed from her role after sending cruel messages mocking Katie Price's son, Harvey, in a WhatsApp group. Sergeant Natalie Dolan, who served with Greater Manchester Police and was responsible for training student officers, faced a four-day disciplinary hearing following complaints about her conduct.
WhatsApp Messages and Disciplinary Outcome
Although Dolan was cleared of allegations involving racism and sexism, a panel concluded that her WhatsApp messages regarding disability and colleagues constituted professional misconduct. Two specific messages were highlighted as targeting disabled people. In one, she suggested that new recruits were so incompetent they 'need to be read to like Harvey Price.' The panel ruled that her language, which also included the slur 'sp*ckers,' was both 'discriminatory' and 'mocking of disabled people.'
The panel found 23 messages containing 'disparaging or offensive' comments about fellow officers and four explicitly targeting those she was training. She also allegedly described Chief Constable Stephen Watson as an 'ar*e' and referred to recruits as 'lickers.' Dolan's counsel attempted to argue that 'licker' was a typo for 'a**e licker' and not ableist, and that the Harvey 'joke' was based on a social media GIF, but these defenses were dismissed.
Katie Price's Response
Following the verdict, Katie Price took to Facebook, writing: 'I will do everything and anything to stop this disgusting behaviour from professionals mocking and making disgusting remarks about my Son!!' She accompanied the post with hashtags including 'disgusting,' 'this is not OK,' and 'if you can be anything, be kind.'
Harvey Price's Background
Harvey, born in 2002, is the son of former glamour model Katie Price and footballer Dwight Yorke. He is autistic and partially blind due to septo-optic dysplasia, which affects the optic nerve. He also has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes a permanent feeling of hunger, which can lead to obesity. In March, Katie expressed fears that Harvey might 'die of a heart attack' without medical intervention, noting that doctors had warned his weight makes him prone to a heart attack.
Dwight Yorke's Involvement
Dwight Yorke, 54, initially denied paternity and demanded a DNA test, which later confirmed he is Harvey's father. In a recent interview on the podcast Life Stories by Lewis Nicholls, Katie claimed that Yorke has rejected invitations to see his son 'every year.' She said: 'Every year, my mum contacts his manager, "Do you want to see Harvey for his birthday? Do you want to see him for Christmas?" It's always the same answer, just not interested.'
Lee Andrews' Tattoo
Earlier this year, Katie's new husband, Lee Andrews, revealed he had gotten a tattoo of Harvey's name, despite never having met him. The Dubai businessman showed off the fresh ink on his hand, which features Harvey's name next to a drawing of the youth's favorite animal. He also shared a photo of a drawing Harvey made for him, depicting Katie and Lee as frogs and referring to Lee as 'Daddy.' Captioning the post, Lee wrote: 'Harvey's beautiful picture for me and his mummy. Aww Daddy Lee x Cute. If you love your wife your love their children [sic].'
