Police Appeal for Witnesses After Disturbing Train Attack
The British Transport Police have launched a major investigation after a disabled man was sexually assaulted aboard a train travelling from Liverpool to London. The disturbing incident occurred on Thursday, November 6, just after 9pm as the service made its way towards Euston station.
Authorities have released CCTV images of a man they urgently wish to trace, believing he may hold crucial information about the assault. The passenger, who has not been identified for legal reasons, was targeted while travelling on the evening service.
CCTV Images Released in Investigation
Detectives have circulated clear images showing a white, middle-aged man with short, light brown hair who they want to speak with. The individual was captured on camera wearing a distinctive grey and black jacket with a white stripe across the chest, with a light grey hoodie visible underneath.
He was also carrying a black Nike backpack, clearly showing the brand logo on the strap. The British Transport Police are confident that someone will recognise the man from these clear images.

In an official statement, the BTP appealed to the public: "Do you recognise this man? Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a man on a train to Euston have today released these images in connection. Just after 9pm on Thursday 6 November, a disabled man was sexually assaulted while on a train from Liverpool to Euston railway station."
Officers emphasised that the man pictured may have information vital to their investigation, even if he wasn't directly involved in the incident. The police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was travelling on that specific service who might have witnessed suspicious behaviour.
