Davina McCall hopes cancer event fast-tracks fight

Davina McCall says she hopes an event has helped 'fast-track' the fight against cancer after celebrities joined a crowd of 500 people for the fundraiser. The annual Lady Garden Challenge was held in London's Battersea Park on Sunday, with people running and walking to raise funds and awareness to improve the outcomes of gynaecological cancers.

Celebrities Join the Cause

Joining Davina on the track were Trinny Woodall, Isla Fisher, Millie Mackintosh and Leomie Anderson alongside the foundation’s co-founders Jenny Halpern Prince, Tamara Beckwith Veroni and Clare Van Dam.

Davina, a Lady Garden Foundation Ambassador, said: “I absolutely love this feel-good family event, and I'm thrilled to be back to lead and cheer on participants. It's all about fun, fitness and fundraising to help fast-track the Lady Garden Foundation’s revolution against the five gynae cancers.”

Fundraising for All Five Gynaecological Cancers

Running to raise money and awareness for all five gynaecological cancers (Ovarian, Vulval, Vaginal, Cervical and Womb/Uterine), every participant provided valuable support for the cause. The event sponsors included KX private members health club, KXU premiere pay-as-you-go boutique fitness and ME+EM, Modern Luxury British Designer Clothing.

Once runners crossed the finish line, guests collected their complimentary goody bags, filled with donations from Trinny London, The Body Shop, Fit Flop, Daye and Vitabiotics alongside a bunch of flowers provided by Teffie.

The Lady Garden Foundation relies on public support to continue its vital work in improving outcomes for those affected by gynaecological cancers.
