Princess and Junior Andre break down over Katie Price's drug use in documentary
Princess and Junior Andre cry over Katie Price drug use

Princess and Junior Andre have spoken emotionally about their mother Katie Price's drug use, describing how she 'wasn't being a mum' during a difficult period. The revelations come in the final episode of Katie's new Sky documentary series, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, where family members and former partners share their experiences.

Junior recalls the most difficult time

Junior, now 21, remembered seeing his mother under the influence of drugs when he was a child. He described waking up at 3.30am to loud noises and seeing her enter the room with a look he will 'never forget'. 'She was obviously on stuff… I could see it in her eyes. It scared me because I've never seen my mum like that. She's there, but she's not there,' he said in the documentary. 'That's when things started recurring, and I started seeing the same patterns. I started seeing her fall down the same hole.'

Junior explained that when Katie, 48, was not in the right headspace, she was not being the mum he knew from his childhood. 'The amount of love that she gave me was so immense, and that's what I missed so much,' he added. The situation became so severe that Junior made the difficult decision to leave home at the age of 14 and live with their father, Peter Andre, who declined to be interviewed for the documentary but issued a statement explaining his decision.

Princess recalls loneliness and a comfort blanket

Princess, 19, shared how their mother would spray a blanket with her perfume and give it to her when she left. 'I remember after school I used to go home and feel so lonely, I used to cuddle the blanket and just cry,' she said. The siblings often looked after each other during this time. Junior recalled trying to figure out if food was microwaveable to feed them dinner, noting that their mother was 'out all the time'.

The documentary also features Katie's mother, Amy Price, who revealed that Katie told her about her drug use, saying: 'I don't do it to get high, I do it because it quietens my brain down.' Katie has publicly detailed a history of using cocaine to self-medicate during periods of distress, which culminated in a high-profile car crash in September 2021. After the crash, she confessed to police, 'I took drugs, I should not be driving'.

Junior questions his worth

Junior reflected on the impact of his mother's actions, saying: 'It made me feel like I wasn't good enough because she wasn't fixing herself for me, or us. Are we not good enough for you?' He expressed gratitude for his father's stability, stating: 'Thank god that my dad was stable because that's the house that I went to and gained my sanity back while I was wishing and hoping my mum would come back and turn herself around.'

The documentary series, which airs on Sky, offers an intimate look into Katie Price's life, with family members and former flames revealing all about her turbulent journey.
