Fruity drink recalled over contamination fears

Icesupp's mango & passionfruit and mixed berries frozen supplements have been recalled due to a potential microbiological contamination hazard. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced the recall, advising consumers not to consume the products and to return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.

Affected products and batch details

The recall applies to 86ml/100g packets sold in over 400 pharmacies and on Amazon. For mango & passionfruit flavour, affected best-before dates are July 2027 and October 2027. For mixed berries flavour, affected best-before dates are May 2027 and October 2027.

Consumer advice and refund process

Consumers can return the products to the store where they were bought, with or without a receipt, for a full refund. For further information, Icesupp can be contacted at info@icesupp.com. Icesupp stated: “Do not be concerned if you have already consumed icesupp from the affected batches, this is a packaging-related quality issue and a precautionary recall.”

Expert comment on packaging defects

Recallscope, a product recall tracker, commented: “Packaging-defect recalls can sound minor, but they matter because packaging is part of how a product stays safe and usable. If a pouch, seal, or container can fail, families may not be able to rely on the product being in the condition the label suggests.”
