The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 2:22am to reports of a stabbing on Foxglove Lane, Chessington, KT9. Resources dispatched included an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. The injured man was treated at the scene and then transported by road to a major trauma centre.
A London Ambulance spokesperson stated: “We were called at 2:22am today (July 16) to reports of a stabbing on Foxglove lane, Chessington, KT9. We sent resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority by road.”
Police investigation underway
The Metropolitan Police have not yet released the man’s age or condition. A cordon is in place on the adjacent Chantry Road, according to local reports. Witnesses have reported several police officers and a forensics team at the scene.
