A 42-year-old woman has been sentenced to six months in prison for stealing more than £3,200 worth of skincare products from a Boots store in Charlton. Nicole Kuhlmann, of Lamport Close, Woolwich, appeared at Bexley Magistrates' Court on Friday, September 18, where she was jailed for the offences.
Details of the thefts
Kuhlmann stole £3,242 worth of products from the Boots branch at Greenwich Shopping Park since March, the court heard. The stolen items included skincare products from several brands, such as Bioderma, Eucerin, La Roche-Posay, and No7.
In addition to the Boots thefts, Kuhlmann admitted stealing £128 worth of items from a BP store in Greenwich and £51 worth of washing liquid pods from a Co-op in Dartford. The offences were committed while she was serving a suspended sentence, according to court proceedings.
Sentencing and impact
The court imposed a six-month prison sentence for the combined offences. No compensation or costs were ordered because Kuhlmann could not afford to pay them.
In a separate case, a Bexleyheath shoplifter who admitted stealing skincare, fragrances, toys, and perfume received a community order. The court did not provide further details on that case.
