Corrie's Maggie disappointed after night with Brian Packham

Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) is left feeling down after a disappointing sexual encounter with neighbour Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) in Coronation Street, according to Metro's soaps spoilers. The woman who pushed her husband down the stairs decides it's time to find a new man, but the night with Brian does not go as planned.

Maggie's Dark Past and Search for Fun

Flashbacks revealed that Maggie pushed her husband Alan down the stairs to his death after a blazing row, a secret she has kept from her son Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) all these years. She also failed to tell Ben that his biological father is actually Jim McDonald (Charlie Lawson), making him Steve McDonald's (Simon Gregson) brother.

Despite her manipulative and dark ways, Maggie is "literally just a girl" who wants a little bit of fun. Next week, Ben and Ollie Driscoll's (Raphael Akuwudike) chat comes to a halt when they realise Brian Packham is coming down the stairs.

An Underwhelming Night for Maggie

As a dishevelled Brian stands awkwardly, the family are stunned to watch Maggie enter the scene. While Brian gets to work on a plan to charm Maggie over, she is busy speaking to Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) about the night she had. Unfortunately for Brian, he doesn't get the best review; it was an underwhelming night, and Maggie doesn't plan on repeating it anytime soon.

Breaking the news to Brian that she actually isn't interested appears to be quite the task for Maggie, as Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) later works out that she's avoiding him. Will Maggie sort things out before Brian gets ahead of himself?
