This weekend marks the return of the annual West End Live, a two-day free festival of musical theatre held in Trafalgar Square every June. Often dubbed 'the Glastonbury of musical theatre', the event secures performances—typically five to ten minutes long—from nearly every musical currently running in London's Theatreland. This year's lineup includes long-running classics like Les Misérables, The Lion King, and Phantom of the Opera, alongside newer hits such as Beetlejuice, Sinatra, and Paddington.
When is West End Live 2026?
The event runs on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Do I need tickets?
No, the event is completely free. A prize draw for fast track entry has closed.
What time should I arrive?
For Saturday, some queue from 4am or earlier for the best spots when gates open around 10:15am. While we can't condone this, it happens. Arriving by 8:30am generally gets you in, but no guarantees. Sunday is more relaxed; no need to arrive extremely early for the 11:15am gate opening, but expect some queues.
West End Live takes place at Trafalgar Square on June 20 and 21.
