As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding approaches this weekend at Madison Square Garden, a reported guest list hierarchy has left some of Kelce's associates feeling snubbed. The event, expected to host around 1,000 attendees, has reportedly caused tension among the Kansas City Chiefs organization.
Invite hierarchy sparks resentment
According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, all members of the Chiefs team received a 'general invite,' but not everyone is treated equally. 'It doesn't extend to some of the front office people, so there's some feelings there. And also, not everyone on the team has the same invite,' the source said. 'A few who he's closer to have more info and it sounds like there's something smaller that they get to go to.' The publication reported that those excluded from the smaller gathering were left 'seething.'
Rehearsal dinner attendees
On July 2, New York City saw a influx of celebrities attending what is believed to be the couple's rehearsal dinner. Among those spotted were Aaron and André Eanes, the twins who build Kelce's brand, former NFL tight end Ross Travis, and Sarah Blackburn King, wife of longtime friend Reggie King. Ross wore a stylish black beret with shades and a brown suit, while Sarah donned a beige bodycon dress and carried a gold handbag.
George Kittle, a San Francisco 49er and one of Kelce's NFL best friends, was also seen in the city with his wife Claire. Kittle sported Spider-Man themed Nike Air Jordan 1 trainers, while Claire looked glamorous in a black dress with lace trim and heeled flip-flops. Also spotted were Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews and her husband Jarret Stoll.
Hotel accommodations vary
The guest hierarchy reportedly extends to hotel accommodations. According to the Daily Mail, some attendees are staying at the modest Marriott Marquis in Times Square, while others are housed at a more up-market establishment. Metro has reached out to representatives for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for comment.
Erin Andrews, who played cupid on her podcast months before the couple went public, urged Taylor to 'please try our friend Travis.' The wedding, set for July 4 weekend, has become the most anticipated event, overshadowing national celebrations.
