Sinister Bea seizes her chance to close in on Honey again in EastEnders.
Bea's Obsession Continues
Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) may be a certifiable bunny-boiler, but at least she is not a quitter. Even though her cruel intentions have been exposed, it will not stop her from getting her 'friend' Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) back in her clutches.
In case you thought Walford had been too quiet recently, Bea has been bringing crazy back to the Square ever since she arrived. If only Honey had never attended Linda Carter's (Kellie Bright) school reunion. If only she had not pretended to be Bea to get herself on the guest list, she might never have crossed paths with the genuine creepy article.
But cross paths they did, and when Linda found out that Bea was being evicted by her landlord, she felt awful for her – especially since she had been a total cow to Bea in school. Out of pity and guilt, Linda brought her back to Albert Square and secured her a space at the illustrious Peacock Palace Bed and Breakfast.
Landing a job at the Minute Mart, Bea bonded with Honey after she saved her from a shoplifter. To seal the deal, she faked a break-in right in front of manager Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) just to get some trial shifts. Bea became besties with Honey, quickly worming her way into her life and becoming literally inseparable.
However, it was all a bit too Single White Female for Honey's husband, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), who did not love the fact that this strange woman was getting her feet under the table. With good reason.
Obsessive Tendencies Revealed
It soon became clear that Bea had obsessive tendencies worthy of Fatal Attraction. When Honey injured herself at work, Bea nicked a bottle of wine from the shop and concocted a madcap plan to sue Suki (Balvinder Sopal) for a massive payday. She got Honey well and truly plastered and got her to spill the tea on Suki, later watching as her drunken bestie sent Suki an ill-advised email demanding compensation for workplace negligence and sexual harassment.
Sadly, it all went downhill from there. Bunny-boiling Bea applied for a credit card in Honey's name. Amid all of this drama, Bea also developed an unexpected romance with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), helping him to campaign against Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) in the local council elections. She used her ill-gotten gains to wine and dine Ian, and practically exploded when he decided to call time on their relationship.
Fortunately, the game was seemingly up when Billy discovered that Bea had been racking up eye-watering credit card debts in his wife's name. While Honey could not bring herself to press charges in case Bea went to prison, Billy put his wife's safety first and decided to turf Bea out on her ear. Honey contemplated going to the police and reporting her for fraud but knowing Bea could go to jail, she reconsidered. Billy, however, was less forgiving and ordered the lodger out of their home. This prompted an unstable Bea to tamper with Billy's ladder in revenge.
Honey's Devastating Fall
In a cruel twist of fate, it was Honey who scaled the ladder, resulting in a devastating fall with some very serious injuries. While Ian immediately suspected foul play, barmy Bea had an alibi lined up and claimed to have been working at McKlunkeys when Honey had her 'accident'. When Honey forced Billy to apologise to Bea, the delusional obsessive tried to move back in after learning that Honey will be needing surgery. This did not go down well with Billy, who point blank refused to let the little psycho back in no matter what.
Where did this leave Bea? Kipping at the McKlunkeys against the bins, that is where. But you cannot keep a good crazy down. And next week's trip to Albert Square will see Honey's deeply disturbed BFF try to get her back onside. While still recovering from her injuries, Honey feels well enough to celebrate with Billy, relieved to hear that Bea has moved out to stay with Mo.
Bea's Evil Plan
But when Bea overhears Billy telling Alfie (Shane Richie) what happened with Honey after their date, she seizes her moment to take Honey for a drink. What is Bea's evil plan? Do not forget, Bea has still got one card left to play. She previously downloaded an AI app, which she used to record Billy's voice – before creating a fake message from Walford's mouthiest marketeer. Will Bea use the recording to turn Honey against Billy?
