Perrie Edwards Marries Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Portugal

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards tied the knot with professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a low-key but glitzy ceremony in Portugal on Saturday. The couple, who have been together since 2017 and engaged since June 2022, exchanged vows at the Igreja Matriz de Estoi church in the village of Estoi, Faro, near where the bride owns a villa.

Wedding Details

Perrie glowed in a fitted, long-sleeved, corseted white mermaid-style gown adorned with intricate floral lace. She accessorized with gold earrings, wore her hair in a chic slicked-back bun with a veil, and carried a bouquet of white calla lilies. The singer was photographed leaving the small church holding hands with the Celtic FC midfielder, who wore a black tuxedo with a matching lily boutonniere.

Perrie's six bridesmaids, including her sister Caitlin, wore baby blue silk gowns and held white parasols to shield from the sun as they cheered the newlyweds down the church steps.

Family and Relationship

The wedding comes months after the couple welcomed their daughter, Alanis Valentine, born in January. They also have a son, Axel, born in August 2021. Perrie, originally from South Shields, has been with the former Liverpool and Arsenal footballer since 2017. She recently told Jamie Laing on his Great Company podcast that their relationship exemplifies healthy love. I just love how calm he is, how understanding, caring, and thoughtful, she said. I feel safe with Alex. I feel content and happy, and it's not effort.

Career Highlights

Perrie rose to fame after winning The X Factor in 2011 with Little Mix, alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Jesy Nelson. The group achieved five UK number one singles, including Wings, Black Magic, and Shout Out To My Ex, and one UK number one album, Glory Days (2016). After Nelson left in December 2020, the trio continued until their hiatus in 2022. Perrie has since launched a solo career under the name Perrie, releasing songs like Forget About Us, Tears, and You Go Your Way, plus her debut solo album last year.
