A unique pop-up restaurant experience is returning to the UK for just four weeks this summer, offering diners the chance to enjoy a meal inside a hot air balloon without leaving the ground. Feast On Cloud 9 will take place at the Wormsley Estate in Buckinghamshire from August 1 to 31, 2026, with bookings now open.
What to Expect
Unlike traditional dining setups, guests are seated in their own hot air balloons that remain firmly on land, allowing them to enjoy panoramic views of the English countryside. The experience is suitable for all ages, with options for afternoon tea or a five-course dinner. Tickets start at £39.50 for children.
Hosted by Feast Events, a company specializing in immersive dining, the hot air balloons have previously appeared at The Grove in Hertfordshire and Syon Park in Brentford, where a winter pop-up was held inside the estate’s Great Conservatory.
Pricing and Menus
Afternoon tea is priced at £65 per adult and £39.50 per child, including access to the gardens, a game of croquet, finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and English country garden-inspired patisserie. For an added touch of luxury, guests can upgrade to a Champagne Afternoon Tea with a glass of Laurent-Perrier for an extra £15, or pre-order an entire bottle of Laurent-Perrier Brut Heritage Champagne for £125.
The five-course dinner is available at 6pm or 8:30pm, with tickets at £85 per adult and £52.50 per child. Dinner includes a welcome cocktail, freshly baked bread with garden herb butter, and a choice of starters, mains, and desserts, such as smoked salmon, fillet of beef, and a milk chocolate plant pot with edible soil and freeze-dried raspberry seeds.
Social Media Buzz
Former guests have praised the experience on TikTok, calling it ‘dreamy’ and ‘stunning.’ One user wrote: ‘Amazing place and food. I went last year for my 50th – highly recommend!’ Another added: ‘I need to go here – looks picture perfect.’ However, some were confused by the concept, questioning what happens in windy conditions. According to the website, if weather becomes problematic, diners will be relocated to the New Garden Barn, an indoor space beside the Walled Garden. All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
