Emma Willis is stepping down from her role as host of The Voice UK after more than a decade, with reports indicating that Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon will take over from next year.
The 50-year-old presenter has fronted the ITV singing competition since 2014, but her career is expanding with new commitments, including co-hosting Love Is Blind UK with her husband Matt and joining Strictly Come Dancing as a presenter. She will still appear on the upcoming season of The Voice, which returns next week.
New Hosts and Coach Changes
According to a source cited by The Mirror, Alesha Dixon, 47, a Britain's Got Talent judge, and Stacey Solomon, 36, a TV personality, will take over from Emma. The pair previously worked together on BGT when Stacey filled in for Simon Cowell, reportedly impressing bosses with their on-screen chemistry.
The insider said: 'Alesha is a pop star and TV judge on a hit Saturday night show, and Stacey found fame thanks to the X Factor and is now a TV presenter on Sort Your Life Out, where her empathy with people is off the chart. They have brilliant energy together and are buzzing to take on The Voice UK. Everyone is really excited.'
If the reports are accurate, Stacey would take on a behind-the-scenes role similar to the one Marvin Humes held before he left the show in 2016. The news follows earlier speculation that Love Island's Maya Jama was in advanced talks for the position, but she quickly denied it, saying: 'Oh yeah, so funny – I'm not hosting that.'
Coaches Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher to Exit
The upcoming season will feature Kelly Rowland replacing LeAnn Rimes as a coach, with Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher, Will.i.am, and Sir Tom Jones returning. However, next year could see further changes, as Danny and Tom are reportedly stepping back after only two seasons, with rapper Aitch rumored to take a seat in the coaches' chairs.
A source told The Sun that the decision was due to time constraints: 'Tom and Danny loved their time on the show, but a full series is a huge commitment. Tom is back and forth from New York, working on taking Paddington: The Musical over there from London's West End – and he's also in and out of the studio writing the eighth McFly album with Danny.'
They added: 'As much as they would have liked to return to The Voice, sadly it's impossible.'
Return Date and Background
The new season was first recorded in 2024 but the show was rested in 2025, leaving fans waiting for its return. The Voice UK airs on Saturday, August 22 at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX. Metro has contacted ITV for comment.
