From the minute EastEnders' Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) hooked up with newcomer Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughn), not realizing he was the long-lost brother of his girlfriend Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness), we knew the obvious chemistry between them would be revisited. While Oscar is now back with Jasmine since her release from prison, she remains completely unaware of their liaison. The lads swore the passion between them was in the past, but things are about to get seriously complicated next week when their spark reignites.
Childhood Game Sparks Tension
In forthcoming scenes on the BBC soap, Jasmine, Josh and Oscar bond over a childhood game, leaving Oscar unsettled by his growing attraction to both of them. Jasmine is hurt to learn Josh played their game with his adopted mum Sandra and storms off. As Oscar tries to comfort a guilty-feeling Josh, the pair end up sharing a charged moment, but Oscar pulls away. They later agree to keep their distance from one another to avoid anyone getting hurt, but Oscar's cousin Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) witnesses their conversation, leading Oscar to confide in her about his growing feelings for Josh.
Jealousy Takes Hold
While he resolves to stay loyal to Jasmine, Oscar can't contain his jealousy when he later spots Josh flirting with another man during a night out at The Albert. With the sexual tension palpable, it's likely only a matter of time before it bubbles over. The development would certainly go down well with fans, who recently voiced on social media how they were here for Oscar and Josh as a couple.
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 18th May at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
