EastEnders has confirmed the explosive exit of controversial character Bea Pollard, played by Ronni Ancona, as her increasingly unhinged behaviour finally reaches its peak. Initially introduced as a seemingly harmless oddball and a victim of childhood bullying at the hands of Linda Carter and her 'pink posse', Bea has since revealed herself to be a dangerous obsessive, fixated on Honey Mitchell. Her storyline, originally planned as a short stint, was extended due to its gripping nature, but now the end is in sight.
Bea Pollard's EastEnders Arrival
Bea first appeared after a bag-swapping incident at a high school reunion. Honey and Linda, feeling guilty over their past treatment of Bea, tracked down her flat to return the bag. There, they found her flatmate throwing out her belongings, who warned them of Bea's dark and insidious nature. Despite the red flags, Linda offered Bea a place to stay at her mother Elaine Peacock's boutique hotel. Chaos ensued, including a fake date with Max Branning, before Bea turned her attention to Honey.
Bea Targets Honey
Bea manipulated her way into a job at the Minute Mart alongside Honey by pretending to prevent a shoplifting incident. She then got Honey drunk to extract information about their boss, Suki Panesar-Unwin, and attempted to hatch a scheme for compensation. However, Honey's drunken email scuppered the plan. Bea later saved Honey's job but lost her own. Honey allowed Bea to house-sit while the Mitchells were away, but Billy returned early to find Bea had used a credit card in Honey's name. When Honey asked her to leave, Bea trashed a McDonald's and framed it as an attack.
Ian Beale and the Ladder Incident
After being kicked out by the Mitchells, Bea targeted Ian Beale, manipulating his council campaign. When Ian exposed her credit card fraud, Bea tampered with Billy's ladder, leading to Honey being injured instead. With Bea unwilling to let Honey go and using a fake AI app to mimic Billy's voice, her departure is set to be explosive.
An EastEnders spokesperson confirmed: 'As we previously announced, Ronni Ancona joined EastEnders for a short stint, which was then extended, for a very dramatic storyline which will unfold over the next few weeks.' Fans can expect a thrilling conclusion to Bea's reign of terror.
