Coronation Street's Debbie's Angels Rescue Brody from Teen Hoodlums
Coronation Street's Debbie's Angels Rescue Brody from Teens

The Queens of Coronation Street save Brody from danger. Who will protect young Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) from the teen hoodlums of Coronation Street? Batman? Spiderman? Even better – four angry middle-aged women living their best lives. Crime, beware!

Brody has a backstory so tragic that it would make Bruce Wayne cry. The tearaway teen grew up believing that his parents were Corrie’s nightmare neighbours Mick and Lou Michaelis (Joe Layton and Farrel Hegarty). In actual fact, his bio-daddy Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) slept with Lou sixteen years ago and let Mick take the fall for a crime that landed him in prison. Mick was sent back to stay at His Majesty’s Pleasure after learning the shocking truth and stabbing Kit. His mum Lou soon followed him to the nick after brutally assaulting Gary Windass (Mikey North). Ever since then, Brody and his sister Joanie (Savanna Pennington) have been in the foster care of Corrie legends Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine).

Just like half of Coronation Street right now, Brody has found himself embroiled in the murder of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) after his fingerprints were discovered all over murder suspect Todd Grimshaw’s stolen phone when it resurfaced in a pawn shop. This led to Brody’s arrest courtesy of DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers). That’s not the only shady dealings the troubled teen has had of late, since he’s also doing a bit of 'work' for Alya Nazir’s (Sair Khan) ruthless but charming cousin Idris Nazir (Junade Khan). The cherry on top of the dodgy sundae is that he has formed a weird kind of frenemy partnership with Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), the slightly scally son of legendary Rovers barman Sean Tully (Antony Cotton). The two met in a Secure Training Centre (STC) in February 2025, where Dylan was serving a sentence for carrying a zombie knife. Despite initial hostilities, they bonded over their horrific family backgrounds and formed a close bond, which took a dark turn when they were involved in a spot of Grand Theft Auto with Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) leading to a horrifying hit and run on Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).

Now that Dylan is embarking on a blossoming romance with Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), the dynamic duo has become a trio. That trio is about to face a whole lot of trouble in upcoming episodes when they get into a spot of bother with some youths in the precinct, only to be rescued by some very unlikely saviours – Debbie’s Angels. This is the name given to the three formidable besties of Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) – Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger), Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove), and of course Brody’s foster mum, Sally. With their powers combined, they have supported her through her heartbreaking dementia diagnosis with their trademark fun and feistiness.

Don’t be fooled. These ladies know how to have a good time, but you don’t want to get on the wrong side of them. Brody’s attackers are about to learn that the hard way. But have the Angels bitten off more than they can chew? Refused service in the Rovers by Sean for being underage, Brody, Dylan and Betsy head to the precinct. When three rough lads approach and demand they hand over the cans they’ve bought, Brody orders Dylan and Betsy to scarper whilst he sprints in the opposite direction with the lads going after him. Having run into Debbie, Sally, Bernie, Glenda and Christina, they come to Brody’s rescue and send the scallies packing.
