Summer Under Suspicion
Shortly after Theo's death, DS Lisa Connor-Swain and DC Kit Green began questioning those who interacted with him most. Todd Grimshaw and George Shuttleworth were interrogated after Lisa found George's shirt stained with Theo's blood. George was released due to lack of evidence, but his failure to mention his walk on the night of the murder raised suspicions.
Next, Gary Windass was questioned after having a motive to want Theo dead. Gary claimed he had no access to CCTV footage from the night because the builder's yard system deletes clips weekly. Actress Harriet Bibby commented, 'I think when people are pushed to that point, it's interesting to see what they will do to survive. It's no secret that Theo was very threatening; he even said he would bury Summer if she got in his way, so there could have been a moment where she felt like it was either her or him.'
